Southwest Georgia Technical College is governed by a Board of Directors composed of seven members who were nominated for their positions by area industry and educational officials. Each member was selected and approved by the State Board of Technical and Adult Education.
The Board sets policy for the College consistent with policies established by the State Board. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving goals and objectives, short and long-range plans, facilities expansion, program additions and changes, and the annual budget before submission for approval by the State Board.
