SWGTC Admissions Placement Exam Schedule

The Admissions Placement Exam (APE) is used in determining your admissions status.  You cannot fail the exam; however, your scores are used to determine what Learning Support course(s) you may need.

The APE is available at three convenient locations: SWGTC Main Campus (Thomasville), SWGTC of Grady County (Cairo) & SWGTC of Mitchell County (Camilla).  Walk-in testing is welcomed at all sites; however, each site has different walk-in schedules so you need to contact the campus that you wish to take the APE for specific testing hours.

Walk-ins are welcome on our Main Campus:

Monday thru Thursday  8:00 am - 2:00 pm

*Please note the following dates will have an altered testing schedule.  Walk-in testing will be available:

September 8 & 9                10:30 am - 2:00 pm

September 15 & 16            10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Picture ID is required at the time you take the examination. 

Please report to the testing site 10-15 minutes prior to testing time.  The average time required to complete all sections of the examination is 2½ hours. 

There is no cost for the APE; however, there is a $20 application fee payable prior to taking the entrance exam.

NOTE:  Applicants are allowed one retest per section. There will be a $15 per section retest fee.
