SWGTC Admissions Placement Exam Schedule
The Admissions Placement Exam (APE) is used in determining your admissions status. You cannot fail the exam; however, your scores are used to determine what remedial course(s) you may need.
The APE is available on both our Thomasville and Mitchell County campuses. You may stop by our campus or call to reserve a seat ahead of time. However, walk-ins are welcome Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon. Picture ID is required at the time you take the examination.
Please report to the testing site 10-15 minutes prior to testing time. The average time required to complete all sections of the examination is 2½ hours.
There is no cost for the APE; however, there is a $20 application fee payable prior to taking the entrance exam.
NOTE: Applicants are allowed one retest per section. There will be a $10 per section retest fee.

Monday thru Thursday 8 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. – 12 noon.
