What happens when you combine a country cowboy hoe-down with an elegant dinner affair? You get Denim and Diamonds, our reverse that is held each March at The Depot in Camilla, Georgia. This fundraiser provides funding for improvements in the Mitchell County Campus and the Mitchell County Scholarship program.

What’s better than spending a beautiful spring day on the golf course? Why, spending it in support of technical education, of course! The Annual SWGTC Foundation Golf Tournament is held each May at beautiful Glen Arven Country Club. This historic golf course is the oldest in Georgia, and was listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" recognized it in their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." You’ll even see pictures in the clubhouse of President Eisenhower playing during one of his trips to Thomasville. What better way is there to enjoy a day of golf on a beautiful course. The tournament is a 4 person, Ft. Lauderdate/Scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Golfers also enjoy prizes for the top four teams, the closest to the Pin on all par-3 holes, the longest drive on a par-5 hole and a new car for a Hole-in-One at Hole #13.

The Annual SWGTC Foundation Mystery Dinner Theater is held each fall at the Regional Community Center in Cairo, Georgia. This event features chilling entertainment, shocking twists and a chance for donors to play detective. Everyone competed against other tables to find out “who dun it,” all while enjoying gourmet cuisine. This fundraiser provides funding for improvements in the Grady County Campus and the Grady County Scholarship program.
