What can Adult Education Classes Offer?
  • Basic instruction in reading, writing and math skills;
  • Preparation for the General Education Development (GED) test;
  • Individualized programs of study to meet your learning needs;
  • Small classes;
  • Free classes and instructional materials; and
  • Career transition assistance into credit enrollment for GED graduates.
Who Should Attend Adult Education Classes?
  • Adults who did not finish high school but want to further their education at a technical college;
  • Adults with skills below the high school level seeking job advancement; and
  • Adults with limited English proficiency.
Where do Classes Meet?
  • Classes are held in Grady, Mitchell, and Thomas Counties.
  • Please contact the Adult Education Office for a complete listing of class sites and schedules.
How do You Enroll in Classes?

    • Take a free placement test to determine your starting point.

Students attending the Adult Education Programs will not be charged tuition, fees, or any other charges, or be required to purchase any books, or any other materials, that are needed for participation in the program.  (The first charge a student will incur is the charge for GED testing.)

Is a charge to participate in the graduation ceremony?
  •    There is a $35 graduation fee (payable one month prior to graduation).
