Graduation

Southwest Georgia Technical College is committed to making each graduation a special event for students and family members. Commencement exercises are always held at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium in Downtown Thomasville. Please note the dates and times for graduation exercises, ceremony preparation procedures and dress code requirements below. 2010 - 2011 Graduation Schedule

Graduation Practice begins at 12:00 noon.

Graduates must arrive by 6:00 pm. Ceremony begins at 7:00 pm.

  • Summer/Fall Ceremony: Thursday, January 20, 2011
  • Winter/Spring Ceremony: Thursday, July 21, 2011

Ceremony Preparation

Complete and submit Request for Graduation form by the tenth class day of the quarter you expect to complete your program. (All Graduates must submit the Request for Graduation form) If you indicate that you wish to participate in the Commencement exercises, pick up Caps, Gowns guest admission tickets and Announcements during the 2 weeks prior to the Graduation Ceremony, between 8:00 am-5:00 pm at the Business Office.  

Attend Graduation practice the day of Graduation at 12:00 noon at the Municipal Auditorium.  Any guest admission tickets that are not picked up before 11:00 am on the day of Graduation will be handed out at the end of Graduation Practice.
