LEARNING SKILLS

Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI)

The LASSI is an online assessment available to all students. Students respond to 80 statements regarding their current learning and study habits, practices and attitudes. Upon completion of the inventory, students receive a percentile score for each of the following 10 scales:

• Anxiety
• Attitude
• Concentration
• Information Processing
• Motivation
• Self-Testing
• Selecting Main Ideas
• Study Aids
• Time Management
• Test Strategies

These scores can indicate a student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Students who would like to improve their skills in these areas will be given access to online “instructional” modules. Students work through the modules at their own pace online and complete a number of activities in order to improve their learning and study skills.
