Enabling Scholarship

The Student Enabling Scholarship is available to help students overcome minor financial barriers that may prevent them from completing their educational goals.  We encourage students to budget wisely to cover the added expense of attending College.  However, we realize that many students and their families must make sacrifices while the student is enrolled, and occasionally a student may need a little extra financial help to make it to graduation.

The Southwest Georgia Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees awards this needs-based scholarship to currently enrolled students in order to assist with tuition, fees, transportation, childcare, books, tools, uniforms, and subsistence.  Students are encouraged to speak with the Retention Coordinator before applying for this scholarship.  Other resources may be available to the student at the College or in the community.

A student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours to apply and cannot receive this scholarship more than once.

Students interested in applying for the Enabling Scholarship should read the policies and procedures very carefully.  All requested documentation should be submitted at the same time to the Financial Aid office.   Incomplete application packages will not be considered.
